HI MY QUEENS
In this episode we are going to focus on how to trust God in your business.. Regardless, everyone goes through trials and tribulations, seasons of darkness in our lives and business. We all go through some dark seasons in our lives.
I am going to share 5 steps from first hand experience on how to exactly trust God fully when you are in the dark valley.
HOW TO HOLD ON TO YOUR FAITH TOTALLY….
We all experience some difficult times, don’t we, whether it’s in business, your relationships, health, family and so on. You try so hard, but nothing seems to fall into place. Maybe you are working so hard and you don’t see the rewards. Or some member or partner or friend hurt you so badly, betrayed you and you are feeling so depressed and you don’t know what to do. And you can’t dig yourself out of the pit because the situation gets worse every time.
I’ve been through my fair share of darkness, especially in the last few years that I’ve been an entrepreneur. They have been very challenging years. I’ve experienced dried seasons financially in the valley where I had no idea what I was going to do financially. I experienced so many doubts, thinking “oh my goodness, I have to go and get a full time job.” I’ve experienced where I felt the lord had abandoned us. I’ve had seasons where I have felt very depressed that I felt I just couldn’t do anything or show up in any capacity. The list goes on and on. We have a farming business where we plant fresh vegetables that we cater for our clients. Now to be a farmer you have to have a lot of faith trusting the lord to produce a good crop. Yes we do have good times where the lord blesses us with an abundant harvest. We look forward to picking that crop and we do great financially. Other times we experience bad times where the hail hits all the crops and the land is deserted with nothing to pick and we don’t have the means to pay for our expenses. But we trust the lord. You have to have faith totally in the lord. Like when we plant our vegetables believing that we will get a good crop.
So Step Number 1 Come closer to the lord. In the valley that you are facing whatever it is for you. In the Bible James verse 8 NKJV. Draw near to me and I’ll draw near to you. There are so many scriptures in the Bible where the lord tells you to draw near to him.
The beautiful thing about this is that our faith doesn’t ever quite look as magnificent when you are in the valley or in the trenches. Your faith doesn’t shine quite as bright in the light as it does in the darkness. I’ve personally found in my life that some of the trials I’vefaced have come up for a multitude of reasons, but one of those has been to humble myself and go to the feet of our sweet Yahweh. Our mountains that we face bring us closer to HIM. When things are going well, sometimes I get wrapped up in my life. Sometimes situations happen to us to get us realizing that we need the LORD.
I lost my dad … we haven’t been on good terms most of my life. Only in the last year my dad was very sick and I looked after him for his last days. He came to look for me to make peace. He was all alone in His last days and he was very sick. I looked after him and had problems with his heart and couldn’t breathe properly. There is nothing the Doctor could do more for him. He passed on peacefully in his sleep. I was the black sheep of the family and had so many bad experiences with my family.
These situations can often be used to help us refocus on the most important thing which is HIM.
The Holy Spirit prompted me to read the Bible every day. I tried and I consumed more scripture that time period than I ever had before I learned so much from that experience. I am so glad that we made peace. The Lord prompted me to carry on reading the Bible. The lord had healed me from my broken heart.
After consuming the Lord’s word every day I noticed a night and a day difference with myself. I began to feel true joy again- and it showed. I was slower to anger, sadness, and anxiety. I’ve never experienced such a quick and extreme shift in my being before. I’m still truly marvelled by it.
Even though there were many times when I was tired and I had absolutely no idea what I was reading. This goes to show that consuming God’s word really does change everything.
The word of the lord really is Yahweh and it’ alive and active like it tell us in Hebrews 4:12 I started spending more time in the lord’s word daily than I ever had before and experienced so many valuable lessons.
Some of those lessons I learned are important for this blog today.● Sometimes what appears to be “failure” in this physical world is actually a victory in the spiritual world.● Sometimes the breakthrough can only happen when there is a struggle, or an obstacle, pain, or failure.● Other times pain is the only way to bring us back to Yahweh.● Where we live in a society that idolizes success, it can sometimes be difficult to find joy in the journey, and to find joy despite your circumstances. The truth is that Yahweh is joy.
MY FIRST BIG TIP FOR YOU IS
that if you are in the valley right now, please spend even more time in the Lord’s word. The only way to God is through Yahweh. The word of God is alive and active. It is a double edge sword; it is literally your only weapon.
Use it. In the word the lord says in Psalm 46:10 be still and know that I am God. The context of that piece of scripture was written in a time of trouble. It was writtenin a war zone- aka the valley, the dark. That means that regardless of the situation, we must rest in Him.
Stop striving and fighting and allow HIM to be the light in the darkness. Our enemies, which are our idols or the things that control us, are what we need to turn over to him in the darkness.
FOR EXAMPLE
if you are struggling in your business, and you’re obsessing over your business or how much money you are making or not making it’s important you release and surrender that to him. If you’re suffering from a breakup or a fallout with a friend or family member, you have to release it to HIM and let Him lead you This leads me to the second step which is.
Surrendering is not new. You have most likely heard about surrendering and maybe you think that you are surrendering. If you continue to go back to it, you have not surrendered it yet to God. There is still something about that thing, that experience, that person, that situation that you have not surrendered. When that happens your thoughts are still very consumed by something, that can also become your idols.
It can be easier said than done. I know this. I know we can feel it isn’t that simple. Why isn’t it that simple? The truth is that it’s not that simple because we don’t have the power on our own to totally let things go. We don’t have the power on our own to end anxious thoughts. But God does.it is a challenge for me absolutely. I’m not saying it’s not hard. This is really when you have to ask God to take it from you.
At the end of the day, surrendering is like a muscle. The more you practice it, the stronger and easier it gets.
We resist surrendering so much, but once we surrender, we have so much peace and joy. So why do we keep holding on to these things? Our flesh is trying to keep us away from God, because our flesh wants to be in control. But what is that doing for us? It’s making us angry, sad and afraid. No more. Let God take it from you.
I’m telling you right now that God loves you so much that he doesn’t want to see you suffer this way. He will keep trying to get you to surrender. He doesn’t want you to fill yourself with the anxieties of this world. He want you to rest on Him, and He is going to teach you in one way or another, so you might just go ahead and practice to surrender.
NUMBER 3
See the unseen
What I mean by this is that even though it appears as if it’s all falling apart, perhaps it’s all falling together. Romans 8:28 says, “and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Trusting God and having faith looks like asking through the valley even when you have no idea what God is doing. It wouldn’t be faith if you always saw it. It’s literally seeing the unseen. Not everything will appear to be good, but it will work together for the good of those who love Him the Just shall walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7.
Hebrews 11:1 says now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.
How can we do this? How can we actually see the unseen? I believe we can do this in two different ways.
First look for the blessing in the valleys, but also look for the blessing every moment of every day. I teach my clients to be on the lookout for miraculous moments every minute. These miracle moments are essentially moments in your life that just show you that God’s promises are coming to frustration.. like a farmer when He plants his seeds he expects a miracle harvestfrom the lord.1. Let your light shine in the darkness.2. Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven. Let the Lord shine His light through you.
Look for the lesson… What is the Lord showing you? Perhaps It’s that He is wanting to help you overcome your flesh so the Holy Spirit can fully overtake you that you still have some anger and resentment you keep holding on to from your past. Or [perhaps there is still some pride He is wanting to work on. Psalm 18:28 says, “You, Lord keep my lamp burning: my God turns my darkness into light.” This means that He is going to turn your darkness into light. What if you have to go through the darkness so that you can further allow Himto overtake you even brighter? The truth is that the fruit of the Spirit cannot be produced without Holy Spirit power. If we aren’t prepared to let Him flow through us, we’re not going to bring forth fruit. A lot of the time, our darkness or our valleys are literally him moulding us to be a stronger vessel for Him.
He is preparing you… I urge you to look at that lesson and also realize that lesson is a blessing in and of itself because He loves you. When you start reading the Bible we are being sanctified, there is going to be valleys because He is going to get the darkness out of you. So be grateful for those moments. He is preparing you. He is teaching you. And He is moulding you to fulfil your ultimate purpose.- which is to continually love Him and make Him known.
NUMBER 4
Trust the situation and path.
If you are going through a problem, a challenge, a valley or darkness how do you know if you should keep going or give up? I’ve personally asked myself this question many, many times. I know that when I hit a mountain, I’m all of a sudden flooded with every insecurity or doubt I have ever faced and it makes me question: is that a sign from God that I need to move? Or is it the enemy trying to deter me? How do you know?
Here is how you will know… Anything instilling fear, guilt, or shame is from the enemy. The enemy is going to do their best to convince you to quit based on your doubts or your insecurities. The enemy is going to use your flesh to try to manipulate you. But God will just simply shut the door. He is not going to instil fear, guilt, or shame. He’s not going to use your insecuritiesagainst you.
2 Timothy 1:7 says, “for God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. So if youare going through a valley, and you’re thinking “do I need to quit,” it’s important to get to the root of that thought. Why do you think this? Is it because you think you are not good at something? Do you feel like an imposter? Are you comparing yourself to others? What is it? If it’s because you feel insecure, that is not from God.
NUMBER 5
Keep on walking by faith
t is very important to be obedient to the Lord. If He called you to this business, walk. It. Out. Keep going even when it feels like nothing is working. He will show up for you. Take action. Keep taking action in spite of what lies the enemy tells you. How do you keep walking by faith? Draw nearer to him. Surrender. Believe the unbelievable. Trust the path.
Thats it beautiful, those are the five steps on how to trust the Lord when you are in your valley. Hold on to your faith. Stay obedient.
